Privacy Policy
Your experience matters to us
At Long-Range AI Consulting, we appreciate you visiting our website or interacting with us on social platforms, and we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you. It applies to information collected through our website at lrangeai.com, through our marketing activities, and in the course of our consulting engagements. Any questions or comments? Please contact us at https://www.lrangeai.com/contact.
Long-Range AI Consulting is a Georgia limited liability company that conducts business only in the United States. When we provide consulting services to a business client, that client may share personal information with us so that we can perform the engagement. In those situations, the client is the controller (or "business," as that term is used under U.S. state privacy laws) of the personal information, and we act as a service provider or processor. Our commitments in that role are described under "Personal information processed on behalf of clients" below. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information that we collect for our own purposes through our website, our marketing activities, and our business operations.
Which information we collect
We may collect data by asking for information about you through our web forms, our blogs, on social media sites including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, or Vimeo, by inviting you to contact us via email, when you apply for a job with us, by submitting information we request via Google forms and their properties, and by other means. At times we may obtain data from business activities, like conferences and events, and providing services. We may also obtain data from third party websites, apps, and communications. These include a link to our Privacy Policy, or a link to our website and our website has the Privacy Policy.
The personal data collected varies and may include information that you provide, such as your name, email, phone number, mailing address, and professional information required to apply for a position. Some of the information you submit may be personally identifiable (e.g., your name, email address) and/or may have a unique identifier. We may also automatically collect information about your site usage and the devices you use to access our websites, what you searched for, pages you visited, and other metrics. We may combine data from multiple sources, including data we obtain from third parties, to learn more about you and your site usage.
From time to time, we also purchase business contact information — limited to names and business email addresses — from reputable third-party data providers, which we use solely for B2B outreach to prospective clients who fit the professional profile of our target audience.
Sensitive Data and Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect through the website or our marketing activities any sensitive personal information, including government identifiers such as Social Security numbers, financial account or payment card information, precise geolocation data, biometric data, health information, or information about racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or immigration status. If a client engagement requires us to handle any of these categories on the client's behalf, we will do so only under a written agreement that addresses the additional protections appropriate for such data.
Our site is not designed for or directed at children 13 years of age or younger, and we do not knowingly collect or maintain personal data about anyone under this age. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, please contact us using the information below and we will promptly delete it.
How we use your information
Long-Range AI Consulting uses your personal information to provide you with requested (or other relevant) information, improve the services we provide, and start a conversation with you on how we might help your business. We may contact you with news, industry insights, webinar/workshop offers, marketing updates, or other information that we think may interest you.
Every marketing email we send complies with the CAN-SPAM Act: it identifies us as the sender, includes our valid postal address, accurately reflects the content of the message, and provides a clear and visible way to unsubscribe. You can opt out of our marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting us. We will honor your opt-out request promptly, and in any event within 10 business days. Opting out of marketing emails will not prevent us from sending you transactional or relationship messages, such as responses to your inquiries or communications related to an active engagement.
We may disclose any information we deem necessary, in our sole discretion, to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. We do not sell, rent or loan any of your personally identifiable information to anyone. We also do not "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws.
Legal Basis for Processing
The business necessity and legal basis for processing your data includes: in part, our legitimate interests in promoting Long-Range AI Consulting and maintaining relationships; in part, your consent, for example if you create a user profile, or register for our newsletters or blogs, and in part, to comply with the law, when certain information is necessary to satisfy a legal obligation, court order, or lawful government request.
Although the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other U.S. state comprehensive privacy laws do not currently apply to us because of our size, we have chosen to align this Privacy Policy with their core transparency principles. This Privacy Policy therefore describes the categories of personal data we collect, the categories of sources for that data, the business and commercial purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
Personal information processed on behalf of clients
When we provide consulting services, our clients may share personal information about their own customers, employees, or other individuals with us so that we can perform the engagement. In those situations, our client is the controller (or "business") of the personal information, and we act as a service provider or processor. In each engagement involving personal information, we commit to the following:
We will process the personal information only for the specific business purposes described in our written agreement with the client and the client's documented instructions; we will not sell the personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising; we will not retain, use, or disclose the personal information for any commercial purpose other than the business purpose specified in the contract, or outside our direct relationship with the client, except as the client instructs or as required by law; we will not combine the personal information we receive from the client with personal information we receive from any other source, unless expressly permitted by the contract or applicable law; we will cooperate with the client in responding to verifiable consumer rights requests; we will require any subcontractor we engage to assist with the engagement to provide at least the same level of privacy and security protection, through a written agreement that flows down our obligations; we will implement and maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the personal information; we will notify the client promptly if we determine that we can no longer meet our obligations under the contract or applicable privacy law; and we will return or delete the personal information at the end of the engagement, except where retention is necessary to comply with law or to defend legal claims.
Where a client requires us to sign a data processing addendum or similar agreement, we are generally willing to do so. Please contact us to discuss.
How we protect your information
We employ security measures consistent with industry standards and legal requirements to protect personal data (including access controls, encryption where appropriate, and secure data hosting), and we require our service providers to maintain equivalent safeguards through contractual agreements to protect personal data from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction.
Despite our precautions we cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your personal data.
In the unlikely event of a data breach involving your personal information, we will provide notification to affected individuals and regulators in accordance with applicable data breach notification laws.
How long we keep your information
We retain personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this Policy or for as long as we are required or permitted to retain it by law. Inquiry and contact-form data is typically retained for up to two years after our last meaningful contact with you, unless the inquiry leads to an engagement. Marketing list data is retained while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period after you unsubscribe so that we can honor your opt-out and avoid contacting you again. Client engagement data is retained for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period thereafter to support audit, dispute, and tax obligations, after which the information is securely deleted or returned to the client in accordance with our contract.

As noted, we may use third parties and their practices vary. Please visit the applicable third party website to learn about their privacy policies.
To provide website visitors the ability to prevent their data from being used by Google Analytics, Google has developed the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.
Log files
We may store and use IP addresses, device data, and other information to analyze usage, administer our site, and gather demographic information for aggregate use.
Third parties
We may retain other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples of our vendors and service providers include recruitment and employment verification, marketing services, payment processors, customer support tools, IT and security service providers, data analysis tools and firms, and web hosting and web analytics. Such third parties may be provided with the data and information described in this policy. We contractually require our vendors and service providers to keep personal information confidential, to use it only to perform the services we have engaged them for, and to maintain reasonable security safeguards.
We will tell you before introducing you to a referral partner and will share your contact information with that partner only with your prior consent or request.
We do not receive a commission for sharing your information itself; commissions are earned only when a referred client elects to buy a referral partner's product or service.
Third parties may also provide information about you, including demographics, data from public sources or social media. Third parties may collect and provide us with information about whether you open or click any links in the communications that we send to you.
We may disclose or transfer your personal data in the event of a re-organization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, or other transfer or disposition of all or any portion of our business. We will require any successor entity to honor the commitments in this Privacy Policy or to provide affected individuals with reasonable notice and choices regarding the transferred information. Please note that if you publicly disclose information online, for example in a blog comment, that information could be collected and used by others. We are not responsible for any action or policies of anyone who collects information that users publicly disclose.
Your choice in how we use your information
This Privacy Policy describes our practices. If we update this Privacy Policy, we will notify you of material changes as described under "Notification of changes" below. Your continued use of the site after a material change becomes effective will reflect your understanding of the updated practices.
Regardless of whether U.S. state privacy laws require us to do so, we voluntarily extend the following rights to anyone whose personal data we hold. You may have the right to request access to the personal data that we have collected about you for the purposes of reviewing it for any inaccuracies, modifying it, or requesting it be deleted. In certain circumstances, you may also request that we cease processing your personal data. We will not deny you our services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights. We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable period, and in any event within 45 days, unless an extension is reasonably needed and we tell you why. If we process your personal data on behalf of a business client, please direct your request to that client and we will assist them in responding as required by our agreement and applicable law. To help protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity in the event of any inquiries. This may require us to request your first and last names, email, IP address, physical address, telephone number, and information about your relationship with us, as well as any documentation we need to confirm your identity. We reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee for complying with your request where allowed by applicable law, and/or deny your requests where they may be manifestly unfounded, and/or excessive, or otherwise objectionable or unwarranted under applicable law.
If you have concerns about privacy, please contact us at https://www.lrangeai.com/contact.
Your California Privacy Rights
While Long-Range AI Consulting is currently exempt from the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) due to our company size, we want California residents to know their rights. Under California Civil Code § 1798.83 (the "Shine the Light" law), California residents may request information about personal data we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year.
Long-Range AI Consulting does not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes except with your prior consent (such as when you request an introduction to a referral partner). If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, or if you have questions about our data sharing practices, please contact us using the information provided in the "How to contact us" section below.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we'll post the revised policy here and update the "Last Updated" date below. If we make changes that materially affect how we handle personal data we already hold, we will provide additional notice, such as by posting a prominent notice on the site or sending an email to individuals on our contact list. Please note that our rights to use any information collected will be based on the Privacy Policy in effect at the time we collected the data.
